Terms & Conditions.
The terms that apply when you book with us. Plain English, no small print tricks — read the bit on access and call-out fees carefully, since it's the one that matters if a job can't go ahead on the day.

1. Who we are
Driveway Details is a car detailing service operating in Bath and the surrounding area. These terms apply to every booking made through this website, by phone, or by email.
2. Booking & confirmation
A booking is confirmed once you've received a confirmation (either immediately after online payment, or by reply from us for bookings made by email/phone). We'll do our best to arrive within the time slot you've booked.
3. Pricing & payment
We price each job individually. When you request a booking we'll send you a quote for your car before your visit, and the price we agree is the price you pay; where a package shows a set price on our website, that price applies instead. You can pay online where that option is offered, or when we arrive to do the work. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. For packages paid online, Stripe may securely retain your payment method on our behalf so it can be used for the purposes set out in Section 5 below (access/call-out fees) or Section 4 (late cancellation fees), without needing to contact you again for card details. If you're paying cash on the day, we don't hold any payment method of yours — any fee under Section 4 or 5 is instead emailed to you as an invoice, payable online within 7 days.
4. Cancellations & rescheduling
Give us at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule and there's no charge. Cancellations or reschedules with less notice may be charged a fee, since that slot could have gone to someone else and often can't be re-filled at short notice. Where you paid online, this fee is charged to the card used to book; where you're paying cash, we'll email you an invoice instead.
5. Access & call-out fee
We block out time and travel to reach every booking. If we attend at the agreed time and date and the job cannot be completed for a reason within your control — for example:
- nobody is present and we can't access the vehicle;
- the vehicle isn't at the agreed address, or isn't the vehicle described at booking;
- the vehicle is in a condition that's unsafe or unreasonable for us to work on (e.g. mechanical issues, biohazards, severe damage not disclosed at booking); or
- there's no reasonable access to the vehicle (blocked driveway, locked gates, aggressive pets, etc.) and this can't be resolved within a reasonable time on the day;
— we may charge a flat £20 access/call-out fee to cover the time and travel already committed, and any package fee already paid for work that wasn't carried out will be refunded in full or in part accordingly. In exceptional cases where significantly more time was lost, this may be higher, and we'll always explain why. Where you paid online, this fee is charged to the same card via Stripe under the authorisation given in Section 3; where you're paying cash, we'll email you an invoice instead, payable online within 7 days.
This section doesn't apply where the job can't be completed for a reason on our end (staff illness, equipment failure, weather making the job unsafe, etc.) — in that case Section 6 applies instead and you won't be charged anything.
6. Refunds
If we can't complete a job for a reason on our end, or you cancel with proper notice under Section 4, you'll receive a full refund of anything paid for that booking. If a job is only partially completed for a reason within our control, we'll refund the portion of the package price relating to the work not carried out.
7. Liability
We take reasonable care on every vehicle and use professional-grade products correctly and as intended. We're not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or defects (including but not limited to paint chips, scratches, worn trim, or interior staining that doesn't fully lift) — please point out anything you're concerned about before we start. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded under English law.
8. Photos
We may take before/after photos of vehicles for our own records and, with identifying details removed or with your separate agreement, for marketing (our gallery, social media, etc.). Let us know at booking if you'd prefer we didn't. When you leave a review, you choose whether your photos are shown publicly with it or kept private, and can have your number plate and/or the background blurred before anything is published.
9. Your data
See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and store your information.
